If you think you may need a prescription medicine, please make an appointment with one of our doctors.
If you have previously been given a prescription for a straightforward condition, such as hay fever, we may be able to issue a prescription after a telephone consultation. Please ask the receptionist.
Repeat prescriptions are only available for registered patients and are generally for those who have a long term condition requiring regular medication. Your doctor will decide who needs repeat prescriptions.
The practice has a computerised repeat prescription service and from time to time we will ask you to see a doctor to monitor your illness and medication before re-issuing the next prescription.
You can request a repeat prescription by calling into the Health Centre and handing in the repeat prescription slip, having ticked the items you require or via a chemist of your choice or registering for online services. Please allow at least 2 working days for prescriptions to be processed.
We cannot take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions in case of mistakes.
In line with national and Primary Care Trust policies, it is our policy to issue repeat prescriptions for 28 days’ supply at a time.
